We are pleased and proud to reveal that eRedbook has joined DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme’s latest cohort of high potential digital health SMEs.

Working alongside the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator's experienced team of Digital Health (NHS) Navigators, we are looking forward to engaging with new parents and health organisations in London, to accelerate adoption and access to the eRedbook.

The Accelerator programme will allow us to reach and recruit local champions who will lead the way in introducing the eRedbook to peers, enabling our collective vision of making child health more engaging and collaborative for all involved in a child’s care.

Dan Moulin, eRedbook project director, said:

“The paper red book has been used very successfully in the NHS for over 26 years, and today it is used nationally. It is a fantastic example of what parents need as a Personal Child Health Record. It engages parents in the health and development of their children and enables information sharing across services and borders.

But, the world has moved on. 99%! Virtually ALL, under 34’s are recent internet users and manage most of their daily lives online.

The eRedbook harnesses many digital advantages.

  • For parents, it is always available anywhere online: it cannot be lost or left on the roof of the car on a mad dash to A&E.
  • For clinicians, we remove paper process by automating information flows, improving data quality and patient safety.

We have a contract and information governance in place for eRedbook in London and we want to help London become the national and global exemplars for digitising child heath.

We now need trusts and leaders to help us prioritise the adoption of this innovation and realise the benefits for child health.”
