IMPROVE CHIS DATA QUALITY

Increase parents’ awareness of universal offering
Parents accessing information on the universal offer and receiving their screening results and immunisations records to their phones act as a failsafe - Parents let services know directly if they have missed an immunisation.

Involve Parents as a Failsafe
Parents receiving data act as an additional failsafe, checking for data errors and ultimately alerting you when the data is wrong.

Capture parent recorded data
Parents add to the data in their eRedbook and can choose to share that additional information with professionals with options for CHIS to capture that data with parental consent.

EREDBOOK DATA CONNECTION OPTIONS

eRedbook can be connected to multiple data sources to provide parents with a view on a rich data set. Data connections can be bi-directional enabling CHIS systems to receive data from parents as well as sending it to them.

Essential

Connection to other EMS data source

eRedbook can be connected to other EMS (Events Management Service) data sources where FHIR format is in use. This may be a regional event management system, known as a LEMS. Note LEMS connections do not offer a catchup service.

Preferred

Catchup data with CHIS Hub direct connection

Parents can receive catchup data for children as old as 4 with a CHIS hub local data connection to eRedbook enabling the whole under 5 service to move quickly towards digital.

Optional

Connection to other EMS data source

eRedbook can be connected to other EMS (Events Management Service) data sources where FHIR format is in use. This may be a regional event management system, known as a LEMS. Note LEMS connections do not offer a catchup service.

COMMISSIONING EREDBOOK

eRedbook is available to commission on a modular basis to support maternity and/or health visiting services ensuring parents stay abreast of the Healthy Child Programme.

eRedbook can be commissioned at regional level, by STPs/ICSs and CCGs, or by individual trusts or local authorities. Pricing modules vary depending on the birth rate of the area in which it is commissioned and the modules commissioned.

Basic commissioning includes connection to the NHS NEMS while local connections are priced on enquiry.
